Accelerated Orthodontics

A patient of Egger Orthodontics At Egger Orthodontics, we want our patients to have as much information as possible about their options when it comes to proper tooth alignment. When it comes to cost and time spent, we know that you may value getting through the treatment as quickly as possible. There are orthodontic treatments available that can get your teeth into their correct positions in half the time and with significantly less discomfort. With appliances like AcceleDent, you can attain the smile you have always wanted more quickly than ever.

What Accelerated Orthodontic Options Are There?

We call processes “accelerated orthodontics” when they are able to reach the same goal as regular orthodontic treatment, but in a shorter period of time. Unlike with options like traditional braces, it is possible to see progress in a matter of months rather than years. AcceleDent is one example of accelerated orthodontics, offering a no-hands-needed device with an activator that you wear for up to 20 minutes a day. Surgical removal of tooth tissue between the teeth can provide you extra space for accelerated tooth movement. The Propel Alveocentesis method allows us to stimulate the bone around your teeth in order to remodel your teeth and the areas around them easier and faster.

The AcceleDent System

The AcceleDent system is often quite appealing to our patients given its multiple benefits. It is comfortable, light, and hands-free that you only use for a small part of each day in order to help accelerate your tooth movement. AcceleDent gently vibrates your teeth and surrounding bone, which permits your teeth to move more easily into their ideal locations. The ease of use gives AcceleDent great appeal and, while you use it, you will at most experience a small tingling sensation much akin to that created by an electric toothbrush.

Am I Eligible For Accelerated Orthodontics?

Our orthodontists are always ready to evaluate and see if you would be a good candidate for Accelerated Orthodontics. One of the most telling factors is whether you still have all of your permanent teeth along with a healthy bone structure. To determine this, we will take photographs of your face and the inside of your mouth. Dental impressions and x-rays will help us prepare models for the teeth and determine your bite.

How Does Cost Factor Into Accelerated Orthodontics?

If you want an enhanced smile as soon as possible, we can make accelerated orthodontics work in your favor, so long as your teeth and jaw are fully developed and require no significant adjustments. It helps to know up front that, if you have problems that affect your dental health such as a misaligned jaw, unfortunately you will not be able to purchase an accelerated orthodontic treatment. The cost of accelerated orthodontics is usually comparable to the cost of traditional braces. The reason for this is because, even though the process is quicker, it combines a number of procedures to speed things up instead of a single method of treatment.

Provided that you are in good dental health, accelerated orthodontics can help you to align your teeth faster than ever before so you can get that winning smile you have always wanted. If you believe that accelerated orthodontics is right for you, call us today at 425.270.1616.
